Edenton Residents, Family Members and Staff;
I am writing to follow up regarding the communication you received yesterday regarding the vender on campus and exposure to our Residents and Staff.
We began testing just the Residents and Staff who were in contact with the vender, and I received a positive test result from someone who was tested.
Since we received a positive test result from an asymptomatic, vaccinated employee, we must follow the MD Health Department directives as well as work with our local health department liaison to ensure the health and safety of our all of Residents and Staff.
The following assisted living buildings on campus are closed for visitation and Residents are under quarantine – Orchard Terrace, Blossom Place and Fiddlers Green. Residents and staff in these three buildings will be tested beginning tonight and into tomorrow.
We will need to have two weeks of testing and receive negative test results for the outbreak to be resolved and we return to normal operations, visitation and activities.
I ask everyone to continue to take this virus seriously and do all that you can to protect yourself, your family members, and the general community.
If I can answer any question or provide you with additional information, please reach out to me or another member of our team.
