RE: Fall Vaccinations Offered at Edenton
Dear Edenton Residents, Family members and Staff;
The Fall season brings about the schedule for our annual vaccination clinics. The FDA granted approval of the updated covid-19 vaccine for anyone over the age of 6 months and older.
This summer has seen a rise in covid cases including a variety of newly identified strains. The vaccines to be provided are to target the current circulating variants giving us a better chance of reducing severe illness. Anyone is eligible for the vaccine if it has been at least three (3) months since you last tested positive for the covid-19 virus.
Edenton will also be hosting a presentation by Tricia Cash, Pharmacist on Thursday September 19th at 10:30am. She will be presenting a Vaccine Update for Older Adults. This will be held in the Manor House and all who are interested should attend.
The next scheduled offering of vaccine clinics here at Edenton are as follows:
Friday, October 4, 2024 Annual Influenza Vaccine
Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Fall Covid-19 vaccine
If you are interested in receiving either of the vaccinations, please speak to either Resident Services or the nurse in assisted living. A consent document will need to be completed and signed for each vaccination. Fall 2024 vaccinations
