Dear Residents, Family Members and Staff:

We are receiving reports of positive COVID tests following the holiday weekend. An Orchard Terrace resident had tested positive late yesterday and a Blossom Place staff member has tested positive this morning.

Residents in Orchard Terrace and Blossom Place will be tested three times over the next 7 days. Staff in contact with the resident or co -worker will also be tested.

This week, we can stop testing in Fiddlers Green. I am encouraging residents who have been out overnight or with long visits with family to consider using a rapid test and monitor closely for symptoms.

All Edenton staff are to wear a mask when working with residents and in close proximity to others.  Assisted Living guests should be wearing a mask inside of the facility.  In general, All residents and guests should wearing a mask as well.

Case counts for the flu, covid and respiratory illness continues to grow. With more social and family gatherings, the likelihood of potential exposure and illness will only rise.

Visitors who want to dine with AL residents should inquire with the staff to make a reservation and ensure there is space in the dining room or private rooms. Visitors may still go to the main dining room with guests for a meal.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we continue to navigate the impact of Covid – 19 and other seasonal illnesses.

Be well,

RaeAnn Butler, Administrator
