Dear Residents, Family Members and Staff:

Testing results this week are coming up with more positive cases of Covid.  Unfortunately, with increased interactions with residents, staff, and families over the holidays we thought this might happen.

Late yesterday, the spouse of an Orchard Terrace resident tested positive and today several Garden House residents also tested positive.  So far, each are showing very mild cold like symptoms.  It is my hope that our continued diligence with the vaccination and booster program as well as reimplementing mask wearing will continue to be helpful.

We will be retesting again on Monday at Orchard Terrace, Blossom Place and Garden House.  Staff in contact with the residents will also be tested.

All Edenton staff are to wear a mask when working with residents and in close proximity to others.  Assisted Living guests should be wearing a mask inside of the facility.  In general, All residents and guests should wearing a mask as well.

I need to remind you of several actions that must be considered when we have Covid positive residents:

  1. Visitors MUST wear a mask at all times.
  2. Guest meals are still permitted in the AL dining rooms. If you wish to dine with your AL Resident, please call us to make arrangements to dine in the main dining room.
  3. Visits must occur in the Resident room or outdoors when weather permits.
  4. Any Resident who tests positive for the virus may still receive visitors who wear the proper PPE (supplies). Residents must be isolated for a minimum of 10 days or until the symptoms go away.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we continue to navigate the impact of Covid – 19 and other seasonal illnesses.

Be well,

RaeAnn Butler, Administrator
