Edenton Residents, Staff and Family Members or Guests,

Over the last few weeks, we have seen a decline in local hospital rates, community infection rates and case rates via the Maryland Dept of Health website. The holidays with family and celebration gatherings proved to be a large factor in the spread of the various respiratory illnesses that we are required to track and report.

Edenton Residents, staff and families all assisted in keeping our campus relatively health will only a few instances of illness.

Beginning today, I am transitioning Edenton back to mask wearing as optional.

Anyone can continue to wear a mask based on their personal situation and comfort level. Masks will be available at the front desks for personal use.

Should any person have symptoms related to the cold, flu or covid like illness, a mask must be worn and/or the person should refrain from working, being in groups or attending community events.

As always, we continue to monitor Residents and staff for illness and symptoms. Should an outbreak occur, proper notifications will be provided. Proper handwashing or sanitizing remains important and we will continue to be vigilant in our cleaning and sanitizing as we have been.

Thank you for continuing to keep the health and safety of our Residents and staff as the top priority. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Be well,

RaeAnn Butler
