Dear Edenton Residents, Family Members and Staff:
The past two weeks of testing at Garden House for residents and staff were all negative.
As I have previously shared, I cautiously and carefully read the updates daily regarding the virus and related statistics. Unfortunately, we are seeing another rise in cases in Frederick and the surrounding region, especially in individuals who are unvaccinated. Just three weeks ago, we had a positivity rate below 1%. Today we are at 3%.
At this time, Edenton will continue to maintain the current procedures regarding visitation in assisted living, scheduling and required mask wearing. IL residents, you can still choose to wear your mask while in the Manor House and dining room. Some people feel more comfortable masking – we understand and respect your actions.
I strongly encourage you to consider wearing your mask when entering other indoor public areas (shopping, grocery store, etc.). This will increase protection from the Delta variant and prevent virus transmission since we are now considered to be in an area of moderate transmission.
As always, if I can answer any questions or provide you with information, please reach out to me or another member of our team at any time.
Be well,
RaeAnn Butler
