Good afternoon Edenton Residents,
Family Members and Staff:

Due to the rising cases of the coronavirus, Maryland and Frederick County are now considered to have a substantial level of community transmission.

Today, Frederick County’s 7-day positivity rate is 4.65% – up from 2.88% last week. Based on the data and the CDC recommendation for senior care communities, beginning immediately Edenton will require masks or face coverings to be worn in all indoor locations on campus. This applies to all individuals – vaccinated persons as well as unvaccinated. Although we still require face coverings in assisted living, this will now apply to independent living – the Manor House and dining room. Signage will be added to the entry doors to remind people regarding face coverings
Based upon the doubling of cases in Frederick Co. in the past week, Edenton Residents and staff should also be wearing face coverings when going out to any public indoor space. The Delta variant is the predominant type of the COVID virus.
The best two ways to greatly reduce your risk for infection – wear a face covering and get vaccinated.
As always, if I can answer any questions or provide you with information, please reach out to me or another member of our team at any time.
Be well,
RaeAnn Butler
