Dear Edenton Residents, Family Members and Staff:
Good Morning,
I am writing to share with you that we received a report that an Edenton assisted living staff member at Garden House has tested positive for the COVID virus.
The Frederick County Health Department was notified this morning as soon as we learned of the employee situation. We are in the process of calling and notifying Garden House Residents or their primary emergency contact due to the potential for exposure.
We are also taking precautions to quarantine and separate Residents as best that we can while we perform testing. We continue to monitor all Residents in assisted living during each shift for any change in condition or symptoms. At this time, visitation for Garden House must be suspended as well as scheduled outings and appointments.
As always, if I can answer any questions or provide you with information, please reach out to me or another member of our team at any time.
Please encourage your friends, family and contacts that the COVID vaccination is important to maintain the health and safety of our entire community – Edenton and Frederick. Just because we may not need to wear a mask in some public areas if we are vaccinated, does not mean we should do so. Vaccinated or not.

Be well,
RaeAnn Butler
