Managing Memory Care activities with an eye towards promoting engagement among residents in meaningful ways includes both regular weekly activities which help promote grounding with seasonal and cultural celebration to foster connections and variety. April is a month including Earth Day, Passover and Easter. Themed activities are focused on resident abilities and include Good Friday Services, Easter Egg Hunt, and Celebrating Earth Day with a discussion and planting potted plants. Music therapy, exercise, cognitive games and get togethers with fun food and friends fill the days with things to help stay connected.
