Independent Living residents are managing a Community Store with regular hours where they can gather and talk and also pick up odds and ends without going out shopping. Regular programs for residents include the Page Turner’s Book Club, A Casino Night, and June will host a return of The Golden Gears Car Club where vintage cars will be on display outside for a walk down memory lane with voting for your favorite and trophies awarded. The Annual Family and Friends Picnic will be happening on June 7 with live music great company and good food for all. June 5 hosts a lecture in the Manor House on Personalized Medicine including access to schedule a test to learn about your genetic interactions with medications. Bayada Health will present a Lecture titled, “Your Aging Body” which will focus on what processes are happening and some tips on dealing with them. Edenton’s Poetry Club will meet on June 12 outside in the Gazebo (weather permitting) to to share their work.
