Resident Spotlight

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Joanne Collins!

A Hartford, Connecticut native, Joanne spent her childhood immersed in sports – though high school limited her to softball. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from New Haven Connecticut Community College.

Joanne and her husband, a government chef, traveled frequently, raising three wonderful children along the way. She fondly recalls the joys of homemaking – hosting holiday gatherings, cheering on her kids at sports games, enjoying summer beach trips, and camping adventures.

When asked why she chose Frederick she smiled and said, “I liked the farmland, the openness of this particular location. So, I decided to move here.”

We are so glad Joanne is a part of our community!
