Welcome, neighbor, to Fiddler’s Green!
Lisa Ambrose, Life Enrichment Director
We would like to welcome Mr. James “Jim” Warwick who recently moved into Room 312. Mr. Warwick was born in Washington state and raised in Hyattsville, Maryland. Jim chose Edenton because of his experience with us when his mother, Esther, lived here years ago.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for W.R. Grace for many years. Mostly through work travel, he has been to all 50 states and 8 foreign countries. He enjoys country music, sports, car racing and photography. He loved taking pictures of race cars all over the country.
Welcome, Jim, to our Edenton family.
Welcome, neighbor, to Orchard Terrace!
Andy Wright, Life Enrichment Coordinator
We welcome Mrs. Peggy Balkenhol who just moved into Room 703!
Peggy was born in Tooele, Utah, and grew up in Salt Lake City. As she got older, she spent more time on her family’s farm and would often feed the animals. She was a cheerleader at Granite High School.
Peggy had three daughters, went through a divorce, and then ended up remarrying the love of her life. She and her husband traveled everywhere before settling in Florida. Peggy was a homemaker, and she loved to garden and take care of her children. “My husband didn’t want me to work. So, while he went to work, I went to play…he gave me the time of my life.” Peggy loves to play bingo and enjoys crafts.
Welcome, Peggy!

She attended the University of Maryland for two years, then she went to work for the Federal Government as a Visual Information Specialist. The last ten years of her career she was a Web Designer and Administrator.
She met her husband on a blind date and ended up marrying him (eventually). They had one son, and she is the proud grandmother of two grandchildren.
She enjoys painting and spent a lot of her vacations in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. She also traveled a lot for her job throughout the United States. Her favorite place that she visited was San Francisco.
She eventually moved to Walkersville, MD. In the 1990s Her mom moved in when she became ill, and she took care of her until she passed away in 2004.
She is an animal lover and has had many dogs and cats over the years. She now enjoys watching her favorite TV programs and visiting with her family.
We are so happy to have Pat back with her Edenton family.

Bayada presents…”Learn About Dizziness”
Michele Price, RN, Director of HomeCare
The vestibular system is like your body’s balance and spatial orientation manager. It’s a complex
network in your inner ear that helps you stay steady, know which way is up, and maintain your
body’s position. Learn about dizziness and vestibular system/rehab with Bayada Home Health
this month! Important tips to know about your vestibular system:
- When the vestibular organs are damaged with disease or injury, the brain can no longer rely
on them for accurate information about equilibrium and motion. This causes symptoms such
as: dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, nausea, headaches, nystagmus.
2. Vestibular rehab therapy (VRT) is an exercise-based program designed to promote Central
Nervous System compensation for inner ear deficits.
3. The goal of VRT is to retrain the brain to recognize and process signals from the vestibular
system in coordination with vision and proprioception.
Join us on Tuesday, December 3, in the Community Room, for the presentation.
